​The full impact of COVID-19 virus is still unknown and it is affecting society in many ways that we have yet to realize or consider. To minimize the effects of the virus and to help ensure full operation and support, Nexport Solutions has been proactive in their approach to the situation. Several months ago we worked at upgrading our remote connection capabilities for our employees and since then we have instructed all our employees to work from home.

Andrews Research & Education Foundation (AREF), in partnership with Smart Horizons, is proud to announce the launch of Andrews Education. Andrews Education is an online platform which will offer convenient and relevant continuing education for sports medicine practitioners. Home Study, Live Stream, and conference options will provide easy access for busy practitioners.

The team had a great time today eating lunch on the lawn, playing Bocci Ball and watching the Great American Eclipse. No eyes were damaged watching the eclipse but a few egos may have sustained injuries during the bocci ball matches.

The Institute for Learning’s 2017 Conference, Designing for Difference, featured outstanding workshops and presentations. It was also the first such event in which DialogeX participated and it will not be the last. I was impressed by how many of the fellows and partners with whom we met were already familiar with the online professional development projects that DialogeX and IFL are pursuing.

NexPort Reporting Services (NRS) version 2.0 will include many enhancements but top among them are enhancements to the dashboard functionality. In NRS, users have been limited to only displaying grid reports in dashboards. With the release of version 2, NRS will introduce a full spectrum of graphs, charts, pivots and visualizations.

One feature that we are very excited about in NexPort Campus 5.5.0 is the addition of Conditional Prerequisites for assignments. In previous versions NexPort has allowed curriculum developers to assign prerequisites to assignments. These prerequisites allowed the developer to control student progress by blocking an assignment until other assignment(s) was completed.

NexPort Solutions, a leader in the highly secure learning management sector, was highlighted in a recent report by the U.S. Department of Education’s (USDOE) Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE) as a primary example of “Successes of Early Implementers” for online based educational programs in correctional facilities.

NexPort Campus allows for the use of the Velocity Templating Language (VTL) in many of its text fields. These templates allow site administrators and curriculum developers to include intelligent text, such as the current student’s name, organization information, enrollment data or most other information about the student. In 5.3.0 we’ll release an updated version of the template properties reference. Here is a quick demo.

NexPort Campus version 5.3 will be released around the end of the summer and includes many exciting new features. One new feature is the ability to mark one instructor in a section as the Primary Instructor.
