The 6.7.8 update to NexPort Campus may be a minor release, but it delivers major value through platform stability, security infrastructure updates, and precision-targeted bug fixes. While feature-light, this release directly responds to partner-reported issues and keeps the NexPort Learning Platform running reliably at scale
🔍 Highlights in This Release
- 🔒 Secured core search infrastructure
- 🛠 Enhanced invoice item editing via POS API
- 🐞 Fixed SCORM 2004 suspend data issue
- 🧭 Restored student SCORM activity visibility
Securing the Search Layer
As part of our commitment to keeping your data secure and systems stable, we’ve upgraded core components of our search infrastructure, including the Apache Tomcat instance that powers our indexing services.
This update helps safeguard the search and reporting layers of NexPort Campus, ensuring faster, more reliable data access and stronger protection for sensitive information.
Point of Sale API Enhancement
The NexPort WebAPI, used by remote storefronts and Point of Sale systems, has been enhanced to provide greater administrative flexibility.
With the newly extended PoSApi.UpdateInvoiceItem
endpoint, external systems can now change the purchasing group assigned to an invoice item. This allows for more dynamic training workflows, including:
- Adjusting invoice ownership by department or client group
- Reassigning billing logic on the fly
- Supporting automation in custom storefront configurations

Improved SCORM Stability
Two high-impact SCORM-related issues were identified and resolved in this release, thanks to partner collaboration and QA investigations.
SCORM 2004 Suspend Data Write Error
Some learners encountered errors during training when NexPort attempted to save suspend data for SCORM 2004 courses. This issue stemmed from file write collisions during data commit operations.
This update resolves those conflicts, ensuring that SCORM 2004 suspend data is now saved consistently, preserving learner progress between sessions.
Student SCORM Activity View Throws Error
An AJAX rendering bug was preventing instructors and support staff from viewing student SCORM activity. This issue—caused by a missing view reference—has been corrected.
With this fix, full visibility into learner activity has been restored, supporting smoother issue resolution and progress monitoring.
Keeping the Platform Clean and Strong
This release might not introduce shiny new features—but it’s exactly the kind of work that reinforces NexPort’s role as a reliable, secure foundation for your training operations.
Looking ahead, we’re focusing on:
- Advanced reporting and analytics dashboards
- Improvements to course authoring with NexPort Studio
- Enhanced user interfaces for mobile access
