7.0.0 Is Now in Beta
We’re excited to share that NexPort Campus 7.0.0 is now in beta.
This release represents a meaningful step forward for the platform. Rather than focusing on a single headline feature, 7.0.0 brings together a broad set of improvements across the NexPort Campus experience, with an emphasis on usability, consistency, content workflows, and overall platform readiness. The result is a campus experience that feels more modern, more intuitive, and better prepared for what comes next.
A Smoother Experience Across the Campus
One of the clearest goals in 7.0.0 is to make day-to-day use of NexPort Campus feel more polished and dependable.
Across learner-facing and general campus workflows, we’ve been improving the kinds of details that shape the everyday experience: clearer layouts, more reliable interactions, better responsiveness, and fewer frustrating dead ends. That includes continued progress in areas like My Courses / My Training, where the goal is to make it easier for learners to move through course activity, launch the work they need, and stay oriented inside the platform.
We’ve also continued hardening important classroom and assessment flows so learners can launch tests more reliably and complete them with fewer interruptions. These improvements may not always be flashy, but they matter. A smoother experience during learning and assessment is one of the most important ways a platform earns trust.
Modernized Tools for Admins and Content Teams
A major part of 7.0.0 is the continued modernization of the administrative experience.
We’ve been aligning key Manage Campus areas to a more consistent 7.0 user experience, including work across tools such as Course Catalogs, Course Sets, Sections, Question Banks, and Activity Logs.
The purpose of this work is straightforward: make core administrative tools feel cleaner, more consistent, and easier to use. That means better page structure, more predictable controls, clearer labels, improved spacing, stronger validation patterns, and a more unified visual language across the product.
For campus teams who spend time creating, configuring, and maintaining content, this kind of consistency matters. It reduces friction, shortens the learning curve between tools, and helps admins focus on the work instead of the interface.
We’re also continuing work to modernize tools like Certificates, with the same goal of making high-value administrative workflows feel current, reliable, and easier to manage.
Better Media and Content Handling
Content creation and content management are another major focus area in 7.0.0.
We’ve been improving the Media Library and related media-picking workflows so working with files, previews, downloads, search, paging, and video content is more capable and less frustrating. For teams managing training materials, media assets, and instructional content, these are high-impact improvements because they touch the day-to-day authoring workflow directly.
We’ve also continued refining how media is used in question and content editing experiences. In practical terms, this means better support for the kinds of rich content campus teams need to build, while reducing the friction that often appears when older tools and newer editing patterns overlap.
The broader direction here is simple: content tools should help teams move quickly and confidently, not force them to fight the system.
Stronger Assessment and Question Workflows
7.0.0 also includes meaningful progress in assessment-related workflows.
We’ve continued modernizing Question Bank tooling and the surrounding authoring experience, with a focus on making question management more usable, more consistent, and better aligned with the overall 7.0 interface direction. For teams who build and maintain assessments, these improvements are important because they affect both efficiency and confidence when working with question content.
At the same time, the 7.0 workstream includes progress toward stronger insight into question effectiveness and assessment quality. That direction supports a larger goal for NexPort Campus: helping organizations not only deliver learning and testing, but also improve them over time.
This is a good example of the kind of enhancement that benefits multiple stakeholders at once. Admins and content teams get better tools, and learners benefit from more dependable, higher-quality assessment experiences.
Improvements That Matter Behind the Scenes
Not every 7.0.0 improvement is something users will notice immediately, but many of the behind-the-scenes changes are important because they directly affect reliability, responsiveness, and future progress.
As part of the beta work, we’ve continued strengthening the platform in areas that support a better front-end experience: login reliability, runtime stability, deployment hardening, and the overall readiness of the beta environment. These improvements help ensure that the visible enhancements in 7.0.0 are backed by a platform that can support them well.
That kind of foundation work matters for two reasons. First, it improves the experience people have today by reducing instability and friction. Second, it prepares NexPort Campus for continued modernization as we move beyond beta and keep building on the 7.0 direction.
What Beta Means
Beta is an important milestone for us. It means the release is far enough along that the overall direction is real, usable, and ready for broader validation, while still leaving room for refinement.
For 7.0.0, beta is the stage where we continue to sharpen the experience across learning, administration, and content workflows. It’s where polish, reliability, and workflow feedback come together. That feedback is especially valuable in a release like this one, where the improvements are broad and touch many areas of the platform.
Looking Ahead
NexPort Campus 7.0.0 is about progress you can feel.
It reflects continued investment in a more modern campus experience, stronger content and assessment workflows, a more consistent administrative interface, and a platform foundation that supports the next phase of product growth.
We’re excited about where 7.0.0 is headed, and beta is an important step in getting it there.
If you’re part of the beta journey with us, thank you. Your feedback will help shape the final release and make NexPort Campus even better for learners, instructors, administrators, and content teams alike.
